Data Networking & Management
Additional Data Networking & Management instruments currently supported by Abbott
Laboratories include:
Precision Net
Precision Net Point of Care Data Networking. Hospital bedside glucose testing
with the power of data networking.
In seconds, point of care testing (POCT) results can be transferred from nursing
stations throughout the hospital to the laboratory. Data is instantly available to
laboratory staff and the LIS/HIS.
Efficient revenue generation from billings due to timely upload of patient tests to
LIS/HIS.
After completing bedside testing, nurses simply connect the portable Precision G
meter to upload. With the press of a button, the Precision Net automatically
completes and verifies the data upload.
QC Manager software provides laboratory staff with powerful POCT data
management. Patient results, operator information, and QA reports help assure regulatory
compliance.
Laboratory personnel are no longer required to physically gather blood glucose data,
saving time and maximizing laboratory efficiency. Precision NET also reduces
nursing QC documentation tasks and enables glucose test strip usage tracking for more
accurate inventory management.
QC Manager
The QC Manager provides comprehensive program management for the Precision·G
Blood Glucose Testing System. It is also compatible with the Precision Q·I·D home
use meter. The QC Manager program provides a simple, automated way to collect,
analyze, and report quality control data in a statistical format. It provides an essential
laboratory tool for managing data and assessing compliance with lab standard operating
procedures.
The QC Manager program is a Microsoft Windows-based computer program that
automatically collects data once the computer is connected to a glucose monitoring system
through a simple cable connection. All data can be correlated with equipment, operators
and patients.
Precision Link
The Precision Link is a diabetes management tool suitable for use in healthcare
professional offices or at home. The system downloads data from the Precision Q·I·D
or MediSense 2 Pen and Card Sensors to a personal computer.
It includes a communication box and all the required software to allow glucose results
to be downloaded, visually analyzed and printed. Examples of the graphical presentations
are the Modal Day Plot, Statistics Pie Chart, and the Patient Log Book. All these sample
visuals provide information that will allow the viewer to see data that could affect the
decisions in providing the best possible care for patients. |
