The new Cadwell Easy II is opening up a whole new world of digital EEG for anyone, anywhere--and driving down costs in the process.

You no longer need a special computer for EEG. With Easy II, you record and review 32-channel, Windows digital EEG on any PC+!

The Easy II offers:

  • Comprehensive recording and reviewing features.
  • An advanced amplifier that processes clean, accurate EEG data.
  • Powerful plug-ins such as synchronous digital video/audio, ambulatory EEG, DC inputs, sleep scoring, and spike detection.
  • Simplified networking capability.
  • Easy Reader EEG reviewing software for additional reviewing and archiving stations.

+Minimum requirements: Desktop or laptop PC (active matrix screen) with Pentium 133 MHz or higher processor, Windows 95, 16 MB RAM, 500 MB of free hard disk space, and archive device. (Some optional programs may have additional requirements.)

Effortless EEG Recording

The Easy II digital EEG recording software is designed for easy-to-use Windows operation where you can point and click all important EEG functions on screen.

If you are used to paper EEG, the Easy II's high resolution display (up to 1600 H x 1280 V, depending on your monitor) looks as sharp as paper.

To ensure the most accurate digital EEG possible, the Easy II combines a high simultaneous sampling rate (2400 Hz per channel) with a -48 dB anti-aliasing filter. For precise amplitude reproduction, the 16-bit analog-to-digital converter provides 65,535 vertical sample points.

With the Easy II, EEG acquisition is fast, flexible, and precise. Click the mouse to instantly enter one of 18 events--10 that are programmed (seizure, artifact, eyes open, eyes closed, etc.) and 8 you can program yourself. The elapsed time is displayed on screen and in printouts. For documenting complex events, click the Comment key and enter a description.

Click a button to adjust filters, montages, or sensitivity. The Easy II will mark these changes, plus photic stimulation sequences, on the EEG record for later review.

The Easy II's resizable review window lets you look back at any part of the record while still recording. And since you may want to use a variety of montages, you can create and store a virtually unlimited number.

Convenient EEG Reviewing

The Easy II provides the high-resolution display (up to 1600 H x 1280 V) and easily accessible controls you need for accurate, efficient EEG reviewing.

The Easy II lets you view live EEG from any networked Easy II system. When it's time to analyze the record, the Easy II provides several ways to quickly move through the record:

  • Click arrows on the paging toolbar or click within the EEG display to move forward or backward by seconds or pages.
  • Page through the record hands-free in auto scan mode.
  • Click anywhere on the scroll bar and advance to events, comments, or montage changes marked by color-coded lines.
  • Go directly to events, comments, parameter changes, specific times of day, etc. using the Go To dialog box.

As you review, one mouse click adjusts filters, montages, or sensitivity for a different or more precise picture of patient activity. To measure amplitude, frequency, and duration, click and drag the on-screen ruler.

If you want to compare records, the Easy II lets you open multiple review windows at once and display them in tile or cascade format.

Print selected pages or the entire EEG record on any Windows printer. Or, copy records to other networked stations with ease.

Colleagues can view the same Easy II EEG record--your comments included--on their Easy II EEG system.
