The SF-VA-100 performs the 360 degree sweep in less than 5 seconds. Thus, it will provide observation of the anatomy of interest from the perspective of a complete circle with a single injection. Conventional systems typically require multiple contrast injections to provide only a fraction of the anatomic perspective supplied by the VA-100. Because of the high rate of rotation achievable with the SF-VA-100, the size of the contrast bolus and the rate of injection are frequently similar to the conventional technique.
