The Emerson Disposable Drainage Sets may be ordered in two different models; one (550-2060
or 550-3060 two-chamber) compatible with the Post-Operative Pleural Suction Pump or
Thoracic Suction Regulator or Transport Suction Unit and the other (550-4060
three-chamber) compatible with any regulated suction source.
The primary chamber has a capacity of 1200 cc. and the secondary chamber has an
overflow capacity of 1200 cc. The underwater seal is located in the secondary chamber to
avoid foaming in the primary (measurement) chamber.
The drainage set may be placed in a stand underneath the pump or may be hung at the
patient's bedside.
