The Model 220 pH System is a fully automated, microprocessor-controlled portable pH
analyzer providing accuracy of results comparable to those of the blood gas laboratory
with only 15 }11 of blood.
The Model 220 offers:
- Rapid, bedside determinations with 24-hour-a-day availability.
- On-site results in 15 seconds eliminating the need for icing and agitation, retesting
due to coagulation and chances of sample mix-ups.
- Ease of operation by any member of the obstetrical team, resulting in a considerable
reduction in the usual time and effort to obtain pH measurements.
- Minimal set-up time. Upon insertion of the pH cartridge, the system typically takes
three minutes to automatically warm the cartridge to 37 C.
- The Model 220 pH system provides a bright LED-type visual display of blood pH as well as
a hard copy printout of pH, date and time.
