APEX® Oximeter General Information

Helping to streamline the patient care process
The APEX Oximeter is Marquette's most recent addition to CDT-LAN modular
multi-parameter telemetry. When used in conjunction with the APEX S transmitter, this
light and compact modular oximeter encourages patient mobility.
The quick and easy physical connection allows the caregiver to establish continuous
SPO2 monitoring without interrupting current telemetry monitoring. When interfaced to the
serial port of the APEX S transmitter, you are capable of:
- Easily adding continuous SPO2 monitoring
- Reviewing SPO2 data
- Capturing SPO2 limit alarms along with all ECG telemetry alarms
The modular design of the APEX Oximeter also adds to its versatility. Equipped with an
LED display, Point-Of-Care assessment is allowed on any patients saturation level and
pulse rate.
Powered by two double AA alkaline batteries, this oximeter does not impact the battery
life of the APEX S transmitter. In fact, the LED display may be programmed easily to
display on demand. This value added feature extends the battery life of the Oximeter to an
unprecedented 60 hours for typical usage.
