MGA-IR Sidestream CO2 Module General Information
|
Complete gas analyzer offers easy, continuous CO2 monitoring without adding
hardware
The MGA-IR sidestream CO2 module houses the sampling bench inside the module
reducing cost and providing protection for the delicate sensing components. The sidestream
CO2 module is capable of monitoring both intubated and non-intubated patients
covering the full spectrum of patients. Sidestream CO2 monitoring is
particularly suited for care areas that wish to monitor CO2 on non-intubated
patients receiving Bi-pap or simply monitored using a nasal cannula.
The MGA-IR sidestream module uses a pump to aspirate a sample from the patient which is
passed through the sampling bench for analysis. The sampling system uses a single beam
chopper wheel technology that self-calibrates every 30 milliseconds. The 45-second warm-up
time to full specification enables monitoring in emergency situations. Housing sampling
components inside the module reduces the risk of damage or loss.
The MGA-IR sidestream CO2 module is compatible with the Marquette 7010,
TramscopeŽ 12 and SolarŽ modular products. Including CO2 measurement as an
integral part of these advanced patient monitors offers many advantages over stand alone
devices. The inspired CO2, expired CO2, RR and capnograph are easily
viewed along with other important vital sign information in one convenient location.
Selectable alarm limits for these values including no breath detect are incorporated into
the overall alarm structure of the system. The values are stored in trend memory which can
be printed on the network printers. The compact modular design reduces clutter while
allowing modules to be easily moved between beds reducing department cost.
