Solar® 9500 Information Monitor General Information
Advanced vital signs monitoring fully integrated with information
management
The Solar 9500 Information Monitor joins the Solar family of modular monitors. While
the Solar 8000 variable acuity monitor covers a wide range of patient needs, the Solar
9500 Information monitor is designed to meet the challenges of vital signs monitoring and
information management in the most critical anesthesia settings.
Powerful Vital Signs Monitoring
The Solar 9500 is first and foremost a powerful vital signs monitor. State of the art
hardware and a real-time operating system deliver unlimited waveform display capability, a
responsive user interface and unmatched display configuration capability. With 8 invasive
blood pressure support and the ability to display 30 waveforms, the Solar 9500 is the
right choice for high acuity monitoring.
As with the Solar 8000 monitor, Marquette's Tram multi-parameter acquisition system
provides monitoring for standard of care parameters for the Solar 9500. Additional
parameter modules are available to provide monitoring of anesthetic agents, CO2,
SvO2, additional invasive blood pressures and temperature.
Ultimate Configuration Flexibility
The Solar® 9500 provides a configuration program so you can create precisely the
screen layout you want. An unlimited number of display configurations can be saved based
on personal preference, case type or age of the patient. Three independently configured
displays allow you to display real-time monitoring on one display while providing user
interface or data entry on another. Or choose to use the powerful windowing feature of the
Solar 9500 to its fullest for single display configurations.
Network Enabled Monitoring
Marquette's Unity 802.3 compliant Ethernet LAN ensures seamless operation with
Marquette's full patient monitoring, clinical information and cardiology product lines. An
additional 10/100 Mbit Ethernet connection is provided as a standard feature for
connection to the Enterprise network. Where traditional hard-wired Ethernet is not
practical, Wireless networking provides additional flexibility based on IEEE 802.11
compliant, 2.4 GHz transmission.
Network Services for efficient updates
Utilize the Unity Network for software upgrades including the operating system, setting
unit defaults for parameters and alarms, and customizing display layouts. Information is
downloaded in the background and can be activated when the room is free, making efficient
monitoring setup possible.
Touch the future in point-of-care capability
Working closely with our customers, Marquette implemented a new generation of
touchscreen technology that is more user friendly. Our approach offers the same familiar
nomenclature and organization found on the Solar 8000 while providing a broader menu. You
get the information you need with fewer touches.
Wall Hugging Ergonomic Design
The Solar 9500 CPU was designed to mount flat against the wall or anesthesia delivery
system conserving precious space at the head of the bed where most care is delivered. Add
the low-profile, flat panel color display for even greater space savings.
Advanced monitoring algorithms
The Solar® 9500 monitor offers time-tested algorithms for hands free PA Wedge and
Cardiac Output. Using our temperature correction algorithms, accurate cardiac outputs are
ensured even during times of temperature fluctuation, like coming off bypass.
The combination of EK-PRO, multi-lead arrhythmia analysis, and ST segment monitoring
provides the point-of-care monitoring required for high acuity patients. Add the gold
standard algorithm for 12 lead ECG interpretation, GE Marquette's 12SL program, and you
have a powerful tool that assists in the early recognition of conditions that may indicate
cardiac ischemia. These same algorithms are used in the Solar 8000 monitor and have been
the foundation for this successful family of products.
Displays to meet your price and size requirements
Marquette offers color 17 inch CRT and 15 inch flat panel displays. All displays
utilize the SAW (surface acoustic wave) touchscreen technology that provides reliable use
even with gloves. The 15 inch flat panel display provides the same viewable area as the 17
inch CRT with much less volume and weight at the bedside. Mix and match displays for
maximum configuration benefit. |
