CD Telemetry®-LAN Antenna System General Information
The CD Telemetry-LAN system uses a multi-field antenna concept similar to that used in
cellular telecommunications. Up to four antenna fields, each consisting of multiple
individual antennae, are placed throughout the desired coverage area. Each telemetry
receiver continuously monitors its incoming signal for signal fade or dropout. Upon
detection of such a condition, the receiver automatically switches to an antenna field
that offers a stronger and more stable signal. The result is a more stable and accurate
signal from each monitored patient.
