3-Scape™ Real-Time 3D Imaging is the first 3D software that enables both real-time 3D scanning and real-time volume interaction on a premium ultrasound system. With this SONOLINE^® Elegra software upgrade, 3-Scape Imaging allows clinicians to view 3D volumes building in real time while they scan a patient. With 3-Scape, 3D becomes clinically practical for the first time.

Using 3-Scape Imaging, clinicians can:

• Instantly acquire reconstructed coronal views that are difficult or impossible to obtain with conventional 2D scanning techniques;
  
  
• View images in three scanning planes at once, for better visualization of complex anatomies;
  
  
• Acquire both gray scale and power Doppler information in a single scan and review each mode independently;
  
  
• Rotate the 3D volume and slices up to 360 degrees, in real time;
  
  
• Interactively select an arbitrary 2D slice view from a 3D volume, the same way CT and MR slices can be selected; and
  
  
• Store digital 3D volumes to the internal hard drive for future retrieval and processing even after the patient has left the department.
