Since its 1995 introduction, more than 1,000 SONOLINE Elegra systems have been installed in hospitals and health care facilities around the world.
SONOLINE Elegra

The SONOLINE® Elegra ultrasound platform is Siemens Ultrasound's premium, all-digital ultrasound system, earning accolades from clinicians around the world for superb images, and technological innovations.

Its proven track record in connectivity, ergonomic design, and strong line of transducers make the SONOLINE Elegra system a top choice for the most demanding radiology department. The system supports a broad range of applications, including urology, OB/GYN, vascular, perinatalogy, pediatrics, neurology and other general radiology applications.

ULTRASOUND INNOVATIONS

The SONOLINE Elegra system incorporates a powerful and programmable supercomputer, the Crescendo™ MultiDimensional Image Processor, which makes possible entirely new ultrasound imaging innovations, including:

The SONOLINE Elegra system also features the world's first high-frequency transducer technology designed to improve contrast and spatial resolution in near-field applications.

These new features are part of Siemens' continued efforts to support the use of non-invasive ultrasound in place of more risky or expensive medical diagnostic procedures.

FEATURES DESIGNED FOR PRODUCTIVITY AND EASE

Designed by clinicians, for clinicians, the SONOLINE Elegra system's controls and applications are designed to be easy to learn and easy to use, for improved productivity. The system can be adjusted to suit different scanning situations, for operator comfort.

With four active transducer ports, clinicians have four transducers instantly available during exams with only the touch of a key. In addition, the system's unique line of transducers supports multi-frequency 2D imaging, three color and three Doppler frequencies, reducing the need to change transducers during exams.

The system features presets to streamline standard ultrasound exams and easy-to-use worksheets and reports for obstetrics and vascular applications.

NETWORKING SOLUTIONS

The SONOLINE Elegra system was the first ultrasound platform in the world to fully integrate DICOM 3.0 networking as an internal feature. This provides instant connection to workstations, printers and picture archival systems at great cost savings to customers. By integrating DICOM networking within the ultrasound system, clinicians can send SONOLINE Elegra images -- in their original, high-resolution digital format -- directly across networks.

The above information is destined for professional use in the medical and medical technology fields.  Product availability is subject to, among others, local regulatory requirements.
